Building to Attain the Sustainable Development Goals

“Be a global citizen. Act with passion and compassion. Help us make this world safer and more sustainable today and for the generations that will follow us. That is our moral responsibility.”

— Ban Ki Moon, Frm UN Secretary General

The SDGuild aims to develop and support implementation of interoperable standards to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the carbon offset sector, multiple standards like Gold Standard and Verified Carbon Standard measure and discuss aspects differently, hindering a "global baseline." Interoperable standards will enable stakeholders to continue using their preferred standards while facilitating unified discussions on progress and measurement through a common taxonomy.

The SDGuild advocates for a cross-functional approach to standards development, with youth taking the lead, supported by governments, private sector organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

The SDGs are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests. Current Progress Update:

We are actively working alongside the IEEE’s Social Impact Measurement group to create the first fully interoperable measurement standard focused on Carbon Emissions.
